Over the years Mike Dawson has been the Senior Race Technician for BSB Ducati teams through to grassroots racing in Desmo Due.

2012
Ducati 848 Challenge
Mike is currently racing in the Ducati 848 Challenge and a challenge it has been. With the workshop moving into the new premises less than a year ago and the business growing, there has been very little free time to get the bike set up for circuits he hasn't visited since racing his monster 620 in 2007. In spite of this he has managed some excellent results in a competitive field of very experienced racers and championship winners. Mike is currently 7th in the championship with only two more rounds remaining, Donington and Silverstone, in September 2012. Come and say hello.....the bike is easy to find in the paddock!!

Class B Desmodue
MD Racing sponsored rider Antoine Josserand will be fighting his way to the front of the class B 'Ducati Sporting club' race series in class B.
Antoine's class B Desmodue is powered by MD Racing and his chassis is set-up by 'Blackart'. See our suspension page for details.
Isle of Mann
MD Racing sponsored rider Paul Baleta will be riding the 2009 Desmodue Class A Ducati Monster in the 'ultra lightweight class' at the Manx Grand Prix at the Isle of Mann this year.
With only suspension modifications for the island, MD Racing is keen to set a respectable average speed around the infamous road race circuit.
2007-2008
NEW ERA DESMO DUE
Race Preparation: Ducati Monster 620ie
Mike helped get Desmo Due Novice, Martin Hollywood, on to the grid in 2007. Within tight rules, MD Racing setup the Ohlins rear suspension, changed and measured fork oil per riders weight, advised on and fitted track-specific gearing and generally got this newbie racers head straight prior to race day.

Race Preparation: Team Respro Ducati 748R
Throughout 2007 Mike prepared and serviced Harry Cole's 748R, from engine rebuilds to a new swingarm, suspension and fork services, even lock wiring! In fact, Mike took the original stock bike all the way from road to race prepared machine.

Race Preparation: MD Racing - DLS Ducati 996R
Mike not only spannered but raced the MD Racing - DLS 996R. The bike was rebuilt from the grounds up, engine stripped, blueprinted and tuned.

BSB SUPERSTOCK
Race Preparation: Ducati Monster 620ie
Mike was Senior Race Technician for the Legs 11 DLS Corse Ducati 999R (Ducati London South) team, with riders Kelvin Reilly and Nathan Flannigan.
Mike was responsible for the bikes development from the London workshops to the starting grid, as well as liaising with riders to ensure the perfect setup for race day.
